I’ve spent my career in finance and accounting: Controller, CFO, and an early finance hire at Limeade (Team Member #5; the company later went public in 2019). Then I co-founded Jirav, a SaaS budgeting and reporting platform we scaled to thousands of businesses and several hundred accounting firms, including 15 of the top 100 in the US.

 

Jirav taught me one big lesson: selling software to companies one at a time is hard. Every business has its own quirks, and its financial sophistication depends on the finance help it can afford. Accounting firms were different. Get into their core workflow, save them real time while adding real insight, and you become part of how they support their entire client portfolio. Accountants support most of America’s small and mid-market companies, and they’re the best path to helping those businesses reach their financial goals.

 

After nine years at Jirav, I stepped away to recharge. Then founders I had backed as an angel started calling. Can you help with our numbers? Can you help us raise? One became two, then three, and I was back to doing CFO work full time: no website, no LLC, just a spreadsheet and too many hours.

 

So I wrote down every task that ate my week. Month-end reports rebuilt from scratch. Forecasts that went stale the day they were sent. Variance commentary written by hand, client after client. Then I asked a simple question: with AI, how do we do all of this 100 times faster, without asking anyone to leave the spreadsheet they already trust?

 

That became xPanda.

 

At the start of 2026, I asked a few accounting firms to try our early beta product. Within months, every one of them had expanded more than tenfold. Today xPanda is backed by RevTech Labs and is building the AI CFO layer for the firms that keep American businesses running.
